Anthony Clarkson Most Determined

Anthony was a premiership player 1981, 82 & 83 and he won Club Best and Fairest in 1983.

SENIOR WOMEN

Deanna Berry Trophy - Best & Fairest

Deanna grew up around Mernda FC with her family involved on the committee she played junior football with the boys winning club Best and fairest and being a dominate player against the boys. She was selected to represent Vic Metro, Her leadership saw her captain the Calder CannonsYouth Girls academy.

Her junior career saw her drafted by Melbourne with their second selection and ninth overall in the 2016 Women's Draft to then play in the first AFLW season in 2017, Stayed at Melbourne for one season then moved to Western Bulldogs in 2018 and becoming a premiership player, she then got named captain for the 2024 season.

This award was created in 2018, after fielding our first ever senior women team and was named after Deanna, being the first Mernda Junior to make it to the AFL/AFLW level from Mernda FC.

CLUB AWARDS

Chris Atkinson Rising Star

Created in 2018 after Chris passed away on his way home from Thursday Night training/Meals suffering from a heart attack. Chris held many rolls around the club from trainer, Auskick coordinator, committee member and many other rolls. He was always their to help when required and had a lot to do with the youth as they came threw the club.

The award is given to the best U21 year old from the senior men's team. Since season 2022, it became the award for each, the best U21 MEN and WOMEN player.
