Mernda’s Under‑19s program remains an important part of our player development pathway, even though we are unable to field a team in 2026 due to lower numbers. This pause gives us the chance to reset, rebuild, and prepare for a strong return next season.
With the potential of the current U17 group progressing through the ranks, we’re confident in the talent emerging within the club. Throughout 2026, we’ll be working to reconnect players, strengthen our numbers, and build the right environment to relaunch a competitive U19s side in 2027.
Our focus stays the same: supporting young footballers as they grow their skills, build confidence, and take the next step in their football journey. We look forward to bringing the red and blue back to the U19s competition next year — stronger, united, and ready to compete.
