Each year, Mernda Football Club proudly competes for the Patrick Chow Cup—an annual match played in honour of Patrick Chow and the legacy he left within our football community. The fixture has become a meaningful tradition for both clubs involved, reflecting the spirit, respect, and connection that the Cup represents.

In 2023, following the passing of long‑serving club volunteer Terry Bracher, the Terry Bracher Medal was introduced as the official Best on Ground award for the match. The medal recognises the standout performer of the day, celebrating excellence, effort, and impact in a way that reflects Terry’s dedication to the club.
